L'Enfant Sauvage

Self-produced experimental video animation for Gojira’s L'Enfant Sauvage.

"L’enfant sauvage" by Gojira is a song about breaking free from societal expectations and taking back one's life. The lyrics depict a person who is struggling to fit into a restrictive world, feeling that a part of them is "killing" from being suppressed. Instead of going along with the pressure or denying the situation, they embody the concept of the "l'enfant sauvage" or wild child and make the decision to take back control of their life and rebel against authority. The chorus and outro focus on the emotions accompanying this journey - anger, lies, and denial - and encourage listeners to find the strength to fight for their own lives and make the most of their innate potential.
