The song "Absolute Zero" by Faith No More seems to be a commentary on the hopeless state of the world and the futility of human conflict. The lyrics suggest that the world is in crisis, with bags and war planes gathered, the clock ticking and no one having any authority to take charge. The reference to 'float like a dead man down the river' perhaps suggests a sense of powerlessness and resignation in face of a catastrophe.
